動(dòng)名詞是非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞的一種，它是由動(dòng)詞原形+ing構(gòu)成，它有名詞和動(dòng)詞的特征。

3.作賓語(yǔ)

可以用在begin, start, stop, finish, like等動(dòng)詞后面。

Ⅱ.不定式

(1)作主語(yǔ)

To have a firm self-confidence is a first step toward a successful negotiation.

有的情況下，可用it作形式主語(yǔ)來(lái)代替不定式做主語(yǔ)

It+謂語(yǔ)+不定式主語(yǔ)+其他成分

It is risky to build too many hopes upon his promise.

It is impossible to get him to understand what I mean.

(2)作賓語(yǔ)

The supermarket’s owner planned to postpone the grand opening until Saturday.

(3)作表語(yǔ)

His job was to examine cars to make sure that they were not smuggling anything into the country.

(4)作定語(yǔ)

The shopkeeper offered me a credit note to be used to buy goods in his shop.

(5)不定式作狀語(yǔ)

To improve business, the store owner decreased his prices.

(6)帶疑問(wèn)詞的不定式

Ⅲ.分詞

分詞是非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞的一種，分詞有現(xiàn)在分詞和過(guò)去分詞兩類。

現(xiàn)在分詞由動(dòng)詞原形+“ing”構(gòu)成。規(guī)則動(dòng)詞的過(guò)去分詞由動(dòng)詞原形+“ed”構(gòu)成。

(1)作定語(yǔ)

China is a developing country.

It is a well-written article.

(2)作表語(yǔ)

This novel is very interesting.

The theory sounds quite convincing.

(3)作狀語(yǔ)

①表示時(shí)間

Having worked for three hours, she took a rest.

Opening the drawer，he took out a book.

②表示原因

Inspired by the teacher, the students studied even harder.

③表示伴隨或方式

Laughing and talking, the children went out into the garden.

④表示結(jié)果

The bus was held up in the snowstorm, thus causing the delay.

Last year the yield climbed again, reaching 1,300 kilograms.

(5)作獨(dú)立主格

All things considered, the commodities are the best in our firm.
