條件狀語從句主要由if或unless引導。

1）if條件句

if條件句：條件句用于陳述語氣，表示假設(shè)的情況可能發(fā)生，其中 if 是“如果”的意思。

構(gòu)成條件從句主句時態(tài) If+一般現(xiàn)在時 主語+shall/will+動詞原形

例句：If he comes,he will take us to the zoo.

2）用法：

（1）條件狀語從句通常由連詞if引導，意為“如果、假如”，主句不能用be going to表示將來，而應該用shall，will.

If you leave now,you are never going to regret it. （錯誤）

If you leave now,you will never regret it. （正確）

（2）if “如果”，引導條件狀語從句，主句用一般將來時，從句則用一般現(xiàn)在時，如：

If it rains tomorrow,I shan't climb the hills.

另外，主句是祈使句或含有情態(tài)動詞，從句也用一般現(xiàn)在時。如：

Please call me if he comes next Sunday.

Can you call the policeman if you are in the trouble.

注意 賓語從句中的if與條件狀語從句if的區(qū)別。賓語從句中的if“是否”相當于 whether，引導賓語從句，時態(tài)需根據(jù)語境確定。如果主句用一般現(xiàn)在時，從句可以根據(jù)具體情況選用時態(tài)，如果主句用一般過去時，從句必須用過去式的某種形式。

I don't know if it will rain tomorrow. 我不知道明天是否會下雨。

Our teacher said there was going to be a football match the next month.我們說下月將有場足球比賽。

（注意）下列從句中的will不是將來時助動詞，而是情態(tài)動詞。翻譯為“愿意”。

If you will excuse me,I really must go to bed.

如果你能原諒我的話，我真的要睡覺了。

If you will wait a minute,I'll go and tell my mother that you are here.

如果你愿意等一會的話，我去告訴我媽媽你來了。

試比較下列句子：

If you see him tomorrow,give him this book.

如果你明天去看他，給他這本書。

If you will see him tomorrow,give him this book.

如果你明天愿意去看他，給他這本書。

2）unless引導的條件句，表示強烈的否定。翻譯為“除非……”。“非……不可。”

I shan't go unless he asks me.他不來請我我就不去。

You will fail unless you work harder.你不努力就會失敗的。

Don't come unless I call you.我不叫你就別來.

（注意）unless 從句里的謂語只能是肯定式,因為本身unless表示否定。

誤：Unless you do not work,you will fail.

正：Unless you work hard,you will fail.

正：If you don't work hard,you will fail.
